ASMA VSWV

FR / ASMA est un duo d'artistes basé à Mexico, formé par Matias Armendaris (Équateur, né en 1990) et Hanya Beliá (Mexique, née en 1994). Le duo se concentre sur le développement d'un travail produit exclusivement par une collaboration active. Leur travail fait appel à des récits ouverts et à des espaces architecturaux qui explorent les interrelations formelles entre les expressions picturales et sculpturales. Dans leur processus de collaboration, ils explorent l'acte d'interaction et la manière dont les choses en contact commencent à s'affecter mutuellement. Dans cette interrelation, les choses commencent à effacer leurs frontières et à fusionner. Ils jouent avec le potentiel de ce processus de transformation, tant sur le plan formel que conceptuel.

EN / ASMA is an artistic duo based in Mexico City, formed by Matias Armendaris (Ecuador b. 1990) and Hanya Beliá (México b. 1994). The duo focuses on developing work produced exclusively through active collaboration. Their work uses open narratives and architectural spaces exploring formal interrelations between painterly and sculptural expressions. In their collaborative process, they explore the act of interaction and how things in contact start affecting each other. In this interrelation, things start erasing their boundaries and begin to fuse, they play with the potential of this process of transformation, both formally and conceptually.
